Frequently Asked Questions
Knowing in advance what to bring, or not to bring will help you enjoy your Airshow experience!
Are pets allowed in to the Airshow?
Only service animals will be allowed through the gate. Service animals must check in at the gate to receive a special pass to allow them on site. Before you bring your service animal, please be aware that the paved surfaces can be extremely hot and can burn their feet. If it is too hot for you to touch, it is too hot for them to walk on it. Please be sure all service animals are kept cool and hydrated. You must also pick up after your service animal.
No other pets of any kind are allowed. Due to the extremely warm temperatures in Central Oregon during the summer months, do not leave your animals in your vehicle while you attend the airshow.
I made a mistake when placing my online ticket order, what do I do?
Please call the Airshow office at (541) 475-0155.
What if there’s inclement weather?
Weather is something we must always keep an eye on, but it is not something we can control. The good news is, there are plenty of things to see and do at the Airshow of the Cascades, including the phenomenal Erickson Aircraft Collection Museum. Our Refund Policy does not allow for refunds or exchanges for any reason.
What else is going on at the Airshow? There are vendors who offer "pay-to-play" rides in vintage aircraft, helicopters, gliders and we have a wide variety of food and retail vendors as well as live music both days. Bring extra cash or a credit card just in case you want to add to your Airshow experience.
May I leave and re-enter the Airshow?
Yes, but make sure you keep your wristband on and show it to the gate guards when you re-enter.
Do Veterans get into the Airshow free?
Yes! Through the generosity of our sponsors, we provide all of our Valued Veterans with FREE General Admission as a tribute to your service. This is valid for active duty, retired, guard and reserve members. Please show your military or VA issued ID card at the gate, and thank you for your service.
Family members who are not veterans must purchase their own tickets separately at full price.
Please note that free General Admission for Veterans does not include entrance to the VIP area, or any other reserved areas that require an additional charge.
Do kids get into the Airshow free?
Children 5 and under receive FREE General Admission to the Airshow.
Please note that Children 5 and under free General Admission does not include entrance to the VIP or any other specialty areas that may require an additional charge for children. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information on upgrading, visit our Ticketing page.
Can I purchase tickets at the gate?
Yes. We can accept VISA, MasterCard and Debit cards, or cash. There are ATMs on site. You can view all of our TICKET OPTIONS or PURCHASE TICKETS online in advance (recommended). Upgrades to Reserved Parking, Premiere Seating and our other reserved areas are available online or at the gate. For more information visit our Ticketing page.
Will you accept credit cards at the event?
Yes. We can accept VISA, MasterCard and Debit cards, but if you want to avoid the lines, consider purchasing your tickets online prior to the show by visiting our Ticketing page.
Will you have an ATM onsite?
Yes. In addition, the Airshow and our vendors will make every effort to accommodate debit and credit cards, but due to the airport's remote location, cash will always be your best bet.
Do I need to bring my own chair?
You should bring your own chair if you are purchasing General Admission tickets. Chairs are included in Premiere Seating and our other upgraded areas. For more information on upgrading, visit our Ticketing page.
Are there shaded areas?
There are no shaded areas in the General Admission area. However, there are limited areas of shade near the food vendors. You can also upgrade your tickets to one that includes many wonderful amenities including shade and seating areas (we have two options right along the flight line!). For more information on upgrading, visit our Ticketing page.
Can I smoke at the Airshow?
For safety reasons, smoking is not allowed on Airshow grounds. There are a few designated areas outside the gate where smoking is allowed. These areas will be clearly identified and compliance will be strictly enforced.
What else should I bring?
Bring your camera, sunscreen, sun glasses, a hat, a chair, comfortable shoes, and a sweat shirt for evening (just in case temperatures dip at night). Be sure to bring friends and family along. See our "What To Bring/Not Bring" page for more details.
What else should I leave at home?
Pets, weapons, outside food and beverages, personal canopy tents, things that can float away (i.e. balloons, paper, etc.) and drugs (legal or not). See our "What To Bring/Not Bring" page for more details.
