For the first time in our 16 year history, our aerial acts had to be cancelled on Saturday due to high winds and a quick moving fire in the Culver area. The fire required all firefighting resources in the county, including our onsite crew. In the interest of safety for our attendees, performers, and crew members, the FAA would not permit the Airshow to occur without firefighters onsite. Upon receiving this information, our teams of volunteers immediately sprang into action and we continued on with static airplane displays, a car show & parade, extended live swing music, and free Erickson Aircraft Collection tours until closing time. Our vendors stayed and provided food and beverages and other items for sale.
To everyone who attended the Airshow, our vendors who stayed with us on Saturday, the band who extended their playing, and everyone who pitched in to make Saturday a great event in spite of the aerial acts being grounded, Thank You! We appreciate you!
